Looking into the aspects of Viral Marketing.

Viral marketing or viral advertising is carried from word of mouth and can also be enchanced by network effects of the internet. Viral marketing may take the form of video clips, interactive flashgames, advergames, ebooks, brandable software, images, or texts messages flat appeal to the public. They target individials with high social so it can spread by these individuals.

I am looking into viral marketing because I'm trying to come up with ideas in which to create a platform for my tease trailer. Looking into YouTube I think it's the best possible way to create a video clip to go viral.

Initial Project- What is a teaser trailer?

This year I am thinking about creating a Teaser Trailer. I like suspense and uncertainty that arises in watching a teaser in which you want to know more, making you want to see the film.
In doing this I have to look closely at what a teaser trailer is and the aspects in which it shall full-fill it's purpose.

A conventonal trailer's narrative is explicit a teasers narrative is implicit high concept-
A idea that is well beyond the norm. Inception(2010), shutter island (2010), Benjamin Button(2008) cloverfield(2008)...

Looking closely at examples to analysis I think is the best way to see, as I myself am a visual learner.

Myths- very important concept. Exploiting the audience's superstitions or deep-rooted collective-imagination. Batman, The Dark Knight (2008), Pan's Labbyinth(2006), Star Wars(1970s-200s), Thor (2011)...
A teaser is usually designed to go viral (like inception Cat -2011, Ultimate Dog Tease-2011,
Quicksilver advert-2008/9, Unstoppable-2010) Teasers then can be said to exploit an the behaviour of possive audiences on social networking sites.
