My DigiPack (:

My Finished A2 Media Music Video (:

My Magazine Advert Page.

Ideas for Image...?

This is my original idea in
which I took this image as
documentation for the
development of my music
video. In looking at this image
it's symbolic to the broken
down relationship.

I changed the colours in the image above and to the right, I did this to show my development to
create a unique style and colour scheme.

Feedback(:

After showing my music video I ask for feedback from peers :)

Sarah:
Camillas music video:
Beginning  in amazing candidate number etc!
Love the sound
Clear story line: shots
Goes with the music
Still shots work really well giving the audience a chance to realise what's happening
I killed her... I'm an animal (Works)
Made me want to watch it & know more!!
Editings really quick
Cut bit of Ellie looking into the camera Xx

Feedback from Shehryar and David:
Like the first shot with candidate number
good use of colour
quick transitions, good switch between black & white and colour
frame rate issue?
range of shots
lyrics reflect whats happening in the video, to some extent
good final shot
mise en scene is appropriate for narrative
nice mise en scene varied locations

Elise:
Hey cammmy, loved the video.
Got a great variety of shots Cammy! if there are any shots which can be edited to be less jittery that would make the cherry on top. i love the editing and the changes in speed. Its also a story which i understand and i am grasped to. xxxx

Josh:
Hey Camilla,
Really like the production overall - really like the plot, was easy to understand about someone cheating.
I like the idea of breaking down movement shots into photos that signify something like happiness, like you on the swing. The way your shots are varied, you show a hell of a lot of setting, in a zoo, kitchen, bedroom, trampoline... when you compare to other existing videos they do that as well. The camera shots in general I would say are fairly decent - they're quite jumpy at the start which I'd say is a key point of the video for someone to get an initial feel for it, if you relate to the evaluation Q's you could mention this. Also I like the idea of the volume at the start going up & down however the quality of it doesn't go with your video at all - maybe you could find a better way of getting that effect, as it does work but the quality is rather shoddy.
Hope this is ok, if you need anymore I'd be more than willing to help out!

The Next Step

After consideration and the look of the Lweendos incident, I have decided to re look casting and today Me and Luke filmed for 2hours and I'm pleased with the result and how much we got done. Looking forward to editing:)

Monday, 20 February 2012

Filming has been at a stand still due to Lweendo the main actor has been really ill and had to have an xray on his leg because he damaged it at work. Finding time between open days and art interviews is very difficult. When I am free they're not, so we are trying to put days together.

Inspiration into DigiPack- CD cover

I am trying to find images of inspiration for creating a CD cover.

Here is Rihanna's image - we found love from her music video her characters inspired me in the storyline I developed from my 2nd to 3rd draft. I like the idea that it is in black and white. Looking at my video shots similar to this image appear on my music video when the protagonist is running away. I could take screen shots and photo shop images from my music video of create a new image and create a similar posture. For the background I could use a pre existing image of take an image in the city centre or in Summertown- trying to not get any other person in the image of use a green screen.
Looking at a completely different CD cover for Mika, you can see there is more colour and images placed within the image. I like the use of colours and the style. You can see that there is a lot going on in the image because of the detail. Move 3D and would stand out more on a shelf but I think that it's not suitable for my type of music video. Due to the storyline and the idea in which 'It does what it says on the tin' I like that it looks bubbly and striking. If I decided to make a similar cover to this for my music video cover I would use less colours- tone down on colours and focus on the 3D layout.
I really like this CD cover A Perfect Circle CD Cover by lordjax. I like the colour range and the way the face stands out. I think that I'm going to create designs like this where the protagonists face is brightly shown- highlighted with effects and layers and maybe have the idea of a bruise on her face to signify the storyline.  The font in the top right hand corner is simple yet effective in which as the image grabs your attention the title is in plain view so you know what it's called. The image leads you to want to know more. It's Gothic yet aesthetic.

Inspiration- DigiPacks

Looking at example of a Digipack.

I like the digipack of Escape The Fate. It has continuity in the repetition of the cover of their album and the CD disc. I like the illustrations around the disc. Significant logos (authorisation, EMI, bar codes) are shown as well as the song names.

Filming

Today we agreed to meet at lukes and did 3 hours of Filming with the guy characters and looked into what to shoot the next time we meet up. As we collaborated ideas we thought it would be better to change up the storyline more so to keep older filming from my first draft.

Understanding CD-R & CD-RW

Disc size and capacity

What are the physical sizes of CD-R and CD-RW discs?
CD-R and CD-RW discs come in standard 12cm (120mm) and 8cm (80mm) sizes. The most popular is the larger 12cm type which has the same physical dimension as most commercial audio CDs and computer CD-ROMs. 8 cm discs are less common but thanks to their smaller size, are gaining popularity for use in consumer electronic devices such as portable compressed digital audio players, digital still image cameras and data storage products like miniature  CD recorders.

Basic StoryLine

Media Ideas:)

Eyec Ft Venemuz

Storyline/Ideas so Far:

- Turning of music volume dial..
Intro before music
*Girl on the floor wakes up- Black dress, beer cans, few bodies lay on the floor. A guy on the floor.
Her boyfriend. She creeps out the door while he's asleep and runs. As she runs the steady camera shots show her black eye and bruises...

She appears at a door... Another guys house- Reveals an other the shoulder shot over the guy (not to reveal it is a guy) to the face of the girl.

0.21-
Rapping
Memory based film- How she met this new character^ The guy.
*He knocks into her by accident...books fly everywhere. Steady shot of them falling. He grabs her and she flinches, but smiles picks up the books, look like they're talking- She smiles. They smile.
Her phone rings- It's her boyfriend. Acting comes in I have to look like she's frightened- that he's yelling at her,
In the rush they make a pinky promise to meet again. (Like the image)
Close up of their hands and him watching her put it in her pocket and run away- Maybe another over the shoulder shots- In repetition to the beginning or panning shot.

When the lyrics say 'Close the door' Idea she's with her boyfriend, he's yelling and throwing things at her. Like mouthing the words 'Where have you been?'
Like fades into him and her in bed, like miles apart, like either end of the bed. She creeps out of bed and looks at an drawing/painting of herself. Or images of them together- Photos Close up of her running her hand over it,
Her going into a day dream....

Chorus:
A picture of the pinky promise image again of them together either in a park- Swings and stuff.
Or them painting.
He leans in to kiss her but she's too shy, pulls away
Boyfriends friends see. -The her phone rings again. She ignores it cause the guy takes her phone, like images of them arguing. He sees a bruise. He looks surprised and she grabs her phone and runs home.

1:26
Rapping
Her in the black dress. Point of view shot, she sees him with his mates.
'You're fire, I'm fire.' - Boyfriends smoking- Crowded house. He sees her- Camera shot- His point of view- Camera moving from her legs and moves up. She looks around worried. He points at her she jumps. He stomps out his cigarette, moves to her, she doesn't flinch but he grabs her wrists, tried to pull her and tries to 'Kiss' Her. He throws her on the floor. She sits there. Clock turns- Speed up the time.

-Find more narrative to fill in the Time.

Chorus:

(Same shots as beginning)
*Girl on the floor wakes up- Black dress, beer cans, few bodies lay on the floor. A guy on the floor.
Her boyfriend. She creeps out the door while he's asleep and runs. As she runs the steady camera shots show her black eye and bruises...
She appears at a door... Another guys house- Reveals an other the shoulder shot over the guy (not to reveal it is a guy) to the face of the girl.
Ending- 'You should come over.'

Her Boyfriends hot on her heels. Follows her. See quick shots of him pulling himself together, looking for her, seeing the door open and going after her.

Fade out is a punch out.-
Good Guy punches horrible boyfriend.
Boyfriends friends arrive. She stands infront of guys they see the bruises and pull the craze dude away. He wraps her arms around her waist.
The door closes.
Fade out from the house
-Screen goes black
Or to the initial idea of the turning of the music volume
Closing shot of them laughing.
Then to black..

Developing A Story Line...

I thought I would start brain storming ideas and come up with a plan to develop a story line that would be more understandable and have key shots to film.
In brainstorming all my ideas and  I can see what I want and don't want in the base story line...
