JJ Abrams "The Mystery Box"

In one of our previous lessons we watched and took notes on JJ Abrams "the mystery box" In which he tells the audience he has never opened the box in his whole life, it has never been opened. Explaining our imagination is the greater mystery. I think he is right in saying so due to our minds holding stories, memories and ideas that other people don't have. He also mentioned his fascination with deconstruction with the inner workings of things in which his grandfather used to show him how mechanical objects were built. Also mentioning the idea in which holding peoples imagination in the way teaser trailers are built. Showing only snippets of the story of the film to let the audience come up with what happens next through their imaginations. He makes reference to Jaws in which he shows the significance of the a snippet in which a child copies his father. 

I think one of his best quotes in this speech is: No communication is best served when only the elite have control."
