R&B is a stereotypical genre in, which is currently in high demand particularly with teenagers. Rhythm and Blues originated from the African Americans but over time has become a more diverse and post-modern genre in which targets 13-25 year old. Contemporary R&B is heavily influenced by being created into a performance based story telling music video. This is evident due to the clear emphasis on physical appearance, such as clothing, branding and it promotion of a distinctive style. The music is dominated by sexual relationships.
The audio for my media music video falls under this particular category because of the sexual references are emphasised in the lyrics. The music consists of elements of hip-hop, soul and some what funk due the the chorus change in pitch the back beat is continuous. As this contemporary R&B track has been recorded and polished in a recording studio the quality is professional.
